it's a bit obvious it's in the name.. you have to be a twit to rely on it. The thing i dont like about it apart from it being new and fangled idea is that people say what they want on it with out scruple and the retweet mechanism means people effectively create giant rumours without accepting responsabiity for it. The case of ryan giggs is a good example, whether people think its the press's right or not (and some people would say twitter belongs to the press) its not really our business if he goes off humping some alleged tart, most people arent that fussed about it, except for those journalists who use it because they think they are being trendy and close to their readers, it annoys me but dont think it should be banned just given a govt health warning like other pollutants are
