IMO we shouldn`t get so hung up on the early season. It`s all swings and roundabouts. We`ve played some difficult teams but our upcoming fixtures include Burnley, West Ham and Hull. The next round of fixtures also include Spurs V Manure, Citeh V The Arse followed by Chelski V Spurs and Manure V Citeh. There will be some heartache for other teams over the next few weeks, allowing us to make up ground.
Also, I think this season will go down to the wire with a top six instead of a top four, all taking points off each other. I`d be very surpries if the league winners have as many points as the past few years. It will be the most open Premier League in a long time, with us as contenders!!!!!
only the passion from everyone might drag it to April/May.otherwise our title hopes had been bashed even before we started... gutted.............why are we Reds so helpless.
I'll stick me neck out and say that the the best we can achieve this year is 3rd...
We are in for a real fight this season...more and more teams are going to man mark Stevie G. The solution is simple - move him back to midfield and get rid of Lucas.
Our relience on Stevie G over the last few years is embarrassing.
What is embarrassing is that we think a lucky 2-3 win over Bolton is good.
I for one never said that. Who in here did? In fact iirc I was pretty damned critical of the performance, as were the rest of the posts I read in here. Not good enough granted, but stop ranting every time we lose man!
