Now that the hammers are down and if he was available should we go for him. I think he's a great player and i have always rated him. I know he's 30 now but could really do a job for the next three years imo. Coady should be ready then to step up and stake a claim if he's going to make it

I really can't see FSG going for him, does fit into their business profile when reguarding players as there is no sell on profit to be had. He will end up at Spurs with Hatchett harry

A lot of talk around the ground yesterday saying that Newcastle are after joe Cole, and we could be interested as part of the deal for Enrique. Would make sense if true.

I don't no where people have got this philosophy that we won't be signing anyone the wrong side of 30. Yes they've said that it's important to buy players who will have a higher re sale value. But theyve never said they won't sign a 30 odd year old. They said if there's someone who will improve the team they will sign them. One thing is for certain, any older players that do sign will not be on huge amounts of money. Which was of the concerns fsg have with some of the older players on long contracts

Agree it's their philosophy to not spend big on players aged 28 upwards i.e 15mil+
Parker would be 8 mil-10 mil which is a bargain really if we get 2-3 good years from him, then he can become a Viera type figure.

Also Dunk has said we want Parker so we'll be in for him defo, just whether he wants to go to City or spurs if they make the moves for him or us. He's definatley leaving West Ham

Upcoming world class players IMO for 2014 WORLD CUP:
K-P Boateng, Gotze, Sturridge, Kroos, Lucas Leiva, Hummels, Kyriakos Papadopoulos,

Not really, Dunk will admite though he has got a lot right, he also got a few wrong in the past. Buy Parker on a personal view would be a great buy, premiership proven quality midfielder and could form a good partnership with Lucas or Gerrard but the fact is FSG has said from the off the way they go about buying player even at Boston is be value long term, with the value they get whilst at the club and value as a sell on commodity. Parker just does not firt into that catagory.

Do you mean viera as he is now? Cause Parker certainly doesn't have anywhere near all the attributes Viera did when he was at arsenal. I imagine his wages will be hefty which makes him not worth it.

We paid Southampton 7 million for Crouchinho when they were relegated. and he was a striker.

I would not pay anything more than 5-7 million for him. plus he would be on massive wages if we bring him in.
