Apologies if you're all way ahead of me on this but I've only been enlightened today after reading our MD's speech on how despite a loss for the financial year we should be positively looking to the future.

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/future-bright-despite-losses

Link there for anyone who wants to read in full, but the jist is, FSG paid off 200 mill of acquisition debt (which as far as I'm aware is not all of it), there is over 100 mill of debt that they haven't specified a name for, and we're paying 17 mill a year in servicing that debt. Now I know that is miles better than before and that debt is manageable but I was under the impression that all of our debt was cleared?

There is another write up about it on the echo website, here is the link:

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool...00252-28638417/

It says the debt repayments are £3million a year, a little snippet for you:

"That takeover, which followed a dramatic series of London High Court hearings in October last year, saw the group led by Boston Red Sox baseball team owners John Henry and Tom Werner reduce annual interest payments to around £3m a year".

I thought the whole of the debt was paid off, i read another article explaining why we still have some debt which all made sense, i will try and dig it out

i think everybody knew we weren't completely debt free because well no one is in sport these days. but these figures being published today are from the last financial year of G&H. since then our debt repayments are basically nothing around 3 million a year. i bet as of right now we are the most financially stable club the PL and we're making more money than anyone except man utd as well tbh this these figures mean nothing and hopefully it's the last time we see H&G' name on the official website

does it work out like an overdraft in a way. It is what all clubs have.

Plus the deals that are coming in now, and possibly the Warrior kit deal, we are in an excellent financial situation better than anyone in the Premier league, except city of course

Basically ye, every club has a certain amount of debt. 3m is sod all compared to 40m!

I'm pretty sure there was service debt for the proposed stadium that hicks and gillet had set out to do (30m) which is what where paying off

In some ways we could be in a better position than Man City if the new fair play rules are rigorously imposed. As we have more coming in therefore can spend more on new players.

Technically, in terms of the fair play rules we stand best of the top 6, and therefore the EPL. Chelsea and both Manchester clubs all reported huge losses this season. Arsenal are struggling to break even now that the apartments on the old Highbury ground are mostly sold. Spurs don't have our turnover/profit.
