Do you not think that by Norwich knowing Cardiff had lost yesterday afteroon and that if they won if gauranteed them promotion didnt give them an extra spur to dig out a result?

So by your argument it's worth playing in the EL so that we have an advantage during 1 game in the title race, provided we haven't lost/won the thing come the last 2 weeks of the EPL (at which time we might not even still be playing in the EL)? I hardly think it's critical.

Come the the last few games of the season and we're in a title challange knowing what the closest teams did the day before is critical then yes I do.

No. Surely the players are going for 3 points in every game, regardless of whether their nearest rivals won, lost or drew the day before?! When managers have complained about other teams playing a day later, I have always put it down to them making excuses.

your idea of playing second most weekends being an advantage is ridiculous specially if we're top at some point because if we're top and the second placed team dropped points on the saturday then our players will know that matching second placed team results is good enough. we have to go into every game assuming that our rivals are all winning. otherwise we'll be dropping points left, right and centre
