Sorry red blood, but to achive greatness in all things, one must always strive to be better then one's peers.
IMO there is nothing wrong in wanting to win everyting, it's how we go about doing it.
First off, we need to offer KK permanent / extension as priority one.

My expectations would defo change if we get our main targets and bring in 4 or 5 top players.

If we do get the right players and spend big, covering the roles of LB, 1x CB, 2x wingers, 1x creative CM, then i feel we can challenge for the title. If not and we only get a couple of new players then a challenge for top 4

I'm not sure that's what bloodisred is saying. 3rd or 4th *is* realistic because we do not have a deep enough squad, and there are 5 other clubs trying to finish in the top 4, all of whom have money. The way to achieve greatness is to set lofty goals and then exceed them. Setting a goal of winning the league simply gives you a lot of room to disappoint yourself. Setting out to try to do better than finish 3rd forces you to remain committed until all you can achieve is 3rd; and it's rare that is settled before the final day.

If you decide you will win the league, but come December you're 7-8 points adrift, your expectations put you under more pressure than you deserve, and should those long winning runs fail to materialize as a result of the pressure you can lose heart; no coming back from that. But if you're trying to finish "better than" 3rd, December is far too early to decide whether you will succeed or fail; all you can do is try to improve your chances by winning more games, taking it one game at a time. That's what we're doing now, and that why we've been successful. Achieve lots of short term goals to keep morale high, and the long term goal will arrive all by itself. Successful clubs are those that play to the final whistle in every game of the season.

So that's why I said we should aim to finish third, because hopefully we will have the guts to try to exceed our expectation (3rd), and that will surely see us challenging for the title as a side-effect.

I suppose we should be looking to better this season, but that cant be hard if we have a productive Summer.

We will win the domestic Treble next season smile

Hi there thundyr, I will not argue - your points accepted.
All I am saying is that to win anything, you have to have a winning mentality and there is nothing wrong in aiming for the stars and still finishing third.
It's the winning mentality (NESV's) that's the decider and in our case starts with a permanent appointment or extension for KK.

I'm not sure I understand what you want. Is the "depending on where we finish" related to which european championship we may enter next season, but regardless of which you expect us to win all 4 competitions? No half measures with you, eh? smile

my expectations for next season are simply to challenge the best we can in the competions we are in to get as far as we can, but ofcourse the PL should be the main one we should concentrate on.
