Clichy used to be a lot better than he currently is. People who have him down as a 'top signing' are letting him live on past reputation. Most games he will be caught out at least 3 times in 90 minutes, in big games that costs you, so I'd say his defending is below average. His attacking threat is better than some people are suggesting but it is true who doesn't get enugh decent balls into the box for my liking, but that could be due to the way Arsenal like to faf around with the ball and loose it rather than whip a cross in.

Need to remember it's not Arsenal's style of play to whip crosses into the box and generally the space that a fullback would occupy when going forward is already filled by a couple of players.....normally ones who should have been in the box waiting for a cross.

i would still prefer gibbs even at around the same price then again it may effect jack robinson in the future

Clichy this season has produced one assist....just ONE - even Aurelio has more - he is not the player we are looking for - Baines, Contrao if not Jose Enrique this kaliber of player we should be interested in!

Apparently we are interested in all these players, but it is all media hype. Can anyone honestly see BAines leaving Everton for us... never happen, on the other hand Coentrao or Enrique could come.

Clichy is a top player

Clichy is not a top player and hasn't been for two seasons, he is caught out defensively and gives away goals as much if not more than Glen Johnson. Also not as good going forward.

Coentrao is reportedly worth 20 mill at least, wouldn't be happy if we spent that on him at the expense of more important positions.

how about odemwingie??he's been great for the baggies this season.has pace and strength and can play as a winger or striker.could be a good backup striker for us.

Good player odemwingie, think he would cost a fair bet though and could see Hodgson realllly digging his heels in when doing business with us.

I like Kuyt as our back up striker, his partnership with Suarez has been fantastic, so far better than his and Carrols.

Exactly. Why replace Kuyt (who seems to be in the form of his life) when we have larger issues at CB and LB?
