Ok, we know that Liverpool have a fair shot at 5th (probably 1 in 7 or 8 given that we need Spurs to lose or draw all their remaining away games, though all at difficult venues). But what about the odds for these other "mathematical possibilities"?

1. Chelsea to win the league. Must become the first team to win at Old Trafford this season on the back of a favour from Arsenal somehow.
Odds: 1 in 50
2. Arsenal to finish 4th. The way they are going about botching this run-in suggests they could easily lose out to City for 3rd. City are 8 back with 2 games in hand, 3 wins for them there vs a loss at Old Trafford for the gunners could see City home comfortably.
Odds: 1 in 10
3. Arsenal to finish 5th. Lose too many and Spurs might sneak by as well.
Odds: 1 in 50
4. LFC to finish 4th. City and Spurs to go on drawing sprees, LFC to win well 4 of 4.
Odds: 1 in 1000
5. Arsenal to finish 6th. Lose all their remaining games by medium margins (at least 2 goals), LFC win all games by large margins (at least 3 goals), Spurs and Man City continue as they have.
Odds: 1 in 100000
6. Wenger to get sacked. I think he's walking a fine line there, and he may have lost the dressing room; if he has he'll be gone within 2 seasons same as Rafa, I'm thinking.
Odds: 1 in 20

I'll be happy to win 4 out of 4 remaining games, regardless of the standings outcome.

I done the BBC predictor. Had us on the same points as city in fourth. They've got blackburn tonight and everton away. Two hard fixtures. And there away form is pretty [oops]. Also spurs at home

Spurs have got us, chelsea and city

Agreed. Another 4 wins leaves Kenny at 12-3-3 in the EPL (39 points, 2.167 ppg [82 point full season], at least +19 goal difference, 66.67% win, unbeaten at home, never mind the injuries). How can you not offer him a contract after that?

Just going by 6 game form:
LFC: 13 points ----> another 8.6667 points (4 games)
Spurs: 8 ----> 6.66667 (5 games)
City: 7 ----> 7 (6 games)

LFC: 52 + 9 = 61
Spurs: 55 + 7 = 62
City: 56 + 7 = 63

However, Spurs play us, which changes the equation. I love the fact that we could be 5th before they play City - just to remind them of the pressure. It's going down to the wire, I think.

I'd rather us concentrate on winning every game with our strongest 11 possible rather than heap a load of pressure on a 16 year old

He doesn't need a lift tho, hes in around the squad quite a bit and it seems kenny is just getting him integrated round the 1st team squad. Next season wel see him but as for now he's got his gcse's to think of
