I'm gonna be honest if I wanted LFC to sign anyone it's gotta be Jesus Navas (hes AMAZING), Cahill, Enrique and a creative midfielder, maybe someone such as Chalie Adam

sakho looks a good player but he will need time to settle and learn the language
cahill would be my 1st choice purely because he's been quality in this league all season and hasn't put a foot wrong.
he would cost us a fair bit. but if sakho come £10m cheaper you'd have to think about it
i believe young, enrique and adam should cost us between £40-£50m
that with around £20m from the sale of aquilani and a few others would get us a centre back
4 top quality players would greatly improve our first team imo

"From everything I hear, #LFC have, for the first time in a long time, a very clear transfer strategy for the summer"
"The likes of Gary Cahill, Jose Enrique, Ashley Young, Mamadou Sakho and Connor Wickham have all been identified as targets by #LFC"
// Ben Smith the times That is good news. We all know our team cannot be 100% improved in one transfer window so for me, getting those players that we need for key positions such as left back and left/ right wing is number one priority. If they can do that atleast in the summer I would be very happy.

Young almost, Adam whilst I like him is certainly not top class, and enrique is an almost for me as well. If those were are only signings I'd feel happy-ish because of the investment and the signing of some good players but also disappointed as we would be the same old Liverpool buying players that just aren't quite at the next level.

quibling over a difference of 37 to 40 is silly, Young, regardless of how lng is left on his contract will go for more than 15 million, I think your easily looking at 40 mill for those 3.
Also, We didn't have champs football to offer Suarez but he still came...don't sell the club so short. I agree it's harder when you can't offer big players European football but not impossible. And yeah, sure those players would improve our first 11 so again I'd be happy to a point, but I don't think overall it would be an improvement on what we used to go for (until late in benitez' reign) and we never won the PL with them. Would rather get 2 top class talents, than 4 second tier talents. First 11 needs to be improved as best we can before we worry about squad depth.

Young is easily a 20m player you know why? Because he'sEnglish, Cahill also another 20m player because he's english. I just really hope we don't sign Young because another 10m could get us a much better quality such as sanchez but cahill I don't mind because he's a very good cb.
