Had this discussion last night. I don't feel he will walk anytime soon but I do feel he won't have another summer like this one with the current owners ! Therefore I think it's rafas last season

To be honest In the current scenario I dont hesitate to say that Rafa with his 5 years in Premiere League still finds it hard to kill teams.I aint supporting Yanks either.One may rightly Blame Yanks for the dilemma but I must say that Im not very much supportive of Rafa entirely.and my views about him dont reflect our current situation on and off the pitch.Lets hope he gets everything right with whatever resources available and brings us #19...

I'd argue differently.

The PLAYERS were sh*t last night. Torres (as much as we all love him) was awful. Gerrard - what the f*ck were you thinking diving in?! That was worse than Lucas at Wigan last year!

Rafa is right that the senior players need to look at themselves.

OK - swap the real madrid one for the 5-0 we beat Villa last year, and I'll reiterate that we scored the most goals last year.

What upsets me now though is that Gerrard and Torres were shocking, but we used to be able to win games without them last year - cant see that happening now!

its a fact that we scored most goals,and i am confident to say that we played very good ,creative and attacking football most of last season and was nowhere what we were displaying earlier seasons.

Seems stupid to start predicting the title and the whole season performances based on this result ,though im one of the many suffering heartache with the season so far.

A reason for this may be that we had a new formation n a new system last season that worked a hell for us.and now opposition teams have know how of that (JUST LIKE ARSENAL rocking THIS SEASON).

Its not about zonal marking and midfield.I admit that we have good results with it and i aint a critic of zonal marking as well..I was mentioning the fact that we were playing a 4-2-3-1 formation and Stevie in his new advanced role..nothing else.....

Villa too employ zonal marking - we had how many corners? 12? plus several freekicks in dangerous positions and scored bugga all!
