barcelona want cesc because he can play like xavi, and he's 5/6 years younger. if barcelona sign cesc their team wouldn't change 8 games out of 10 they would play the same 11 they do now but when cesc did play he'd be in for pedro and iniesta would be pushed forward into the front 3. also theres the fact that they want to dominate the world of football they'll be aiming to win the treble every season while they have this dream team together and cesc would make them even stronger last summer pep gaurdiola wanted to sign mascherano, cesc, clichy, ribery, villa. he doesnt see a limit to how good his team can be he's a perfectionist and he was very angry when the board didnt do enough to sign them. so yeah cesc is only one part of pep' plan

Not saying he isn't part of the plan, as I think that's obvious by the way in which they courted him all last year; just don't see him pushing iniesta wide left when iniesta is better than fabregas in the middle. Would be silly.

fabregas will only be a backup for barca, he won't push xavi, ineista or even pedro out of the starting line up. They will just buy him as back up just like they brought masch whos hugging the bench all the time.

seb larsson, on a free hes versatile he knows the PL hes got a very nice cross on him, his wage would be okay he'd be a good squad player
