Sideways masch was appreciated for his donkey work, that's it.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

adam is a quality player, we need someone like him in the cm position. saying he's another lucas is utter nonsense.

Exactly. Wait? Did I just agree with you emp? wow.
Seriously though, Gerrard is a terrible CM, but it's blatantly obvious how much we miss his passing. With Adam in the mix we gain a lot more flexibility in the middle of the park, particularly if we buy no wingers and play a diamond midfield. It's important to remember that Gerrard is likely to break down more and more often now, and we need cover for him too. Adam-Lucas-Meireles should be solid enough, and honestly I'm not sure we're actually likely to pick up the Sissoko's and M'Vila's of the world this season; not because of the money, but because they will have "better" clubs that want them. Getting Adam may well be settling for second best, but he's proven in the prem and counts as 1 for the home grown rule (remember that we want to sell Jones and Konchesky, and Johnson might want out). I think Adam would be a 3rd best, and I think we can be competative in getting some of the more desirable talents around Europe, we would offer first team football and probably have to offer higher wages. Also Adam does not count as home grown. Only players who have trained with English and Welsh teams for 3 years under the age of 21 are home grown. Adam does not fall into this category, same with Wilson, it is a myth that these Scottish players count as home grown.

goals,passing,assists,free-kicks,corners,a left foot, controlling games. thats six things. worth a lot more than 12m too. ask holloway or carra, harry redknapp ,kenny etc.. ie people that know something about football you seem not to lets buy him 20 million number one target, i really hope fergie doesnt get him or utd will fast be on their way to titles number 20 and beyond LOL, he's and average footballer and if you think he runs football games your an idiot have you watched blackpool? there isnt one tiny bit of control in their games just end to end entertainment, so where have to seen him control a game of football? jamie carrargher ,who is a top professional footballer and was on the same pitch as charlie adam said he ran both matches against liverpool. now i would be more inclined to listen to his opinion than yours . you might claim carra is an idiot too but you would be digging a bigger hole for urself. emp, you have a long list of comments that make you an idiot in my eyes and you more than likely feel the same about me. as for carra that was an idiotic comment adam doesn't run games he has a wand of a left foot, he has nothing else, im guessing carra was asked about the games against blackpool and adam in particular and he said something, nice and respectful as do every other footballer when asked a question about a particular team, player or manager carra and gerrard were even nice about hodgson on goals on sunday last week it what footballers do

Sideways masch was appreciated for his donkey work, that's it. so he didn't protect the back 4 then? he was rated as the best player in his position in the world, i've never understood the lack of respect and credit towards mascherano. i know he left us in a very c*nt-ish way but i'd have him back in a second

Every team needs a spoiler, but they are hardly irreplaceable...respect bit made me laugh though. Also think S.Parker would do a better job.

We've got Aqua coming back or at least someone buying him for a cool 15-18mil. We could go for Adam, for half and still have some left over. What about Felliani? Yea hes at our rivals, but whats the politics of signing someone from our rivals, hes a young top notch player. Cant forget also got Insua and Konch coming back.
