according to empire of the kop the stadium plans will be revealed this week and it will confirm that we will be staying at anfield. if you believe this report the initial capacity will be 60.000 with a view to extend to 70.000. sounds good to me if it's true.

Its a hard one this, my heart says stay at Anfield with a revamp my head says the need for more seats, maybe 75 thousand!would be even better, so if its true? then hopefully squeeze the extra 5 thousand in and thatl be great. wink

I admit anfield is good but I have to say the seats are quite close to each other in the centenary end, barely any leg space if your average height or highier, and if the plans go ahead Dunk has said the plan is to add a tier to main stand with boxes inbetween and a increase of capcity at annie road end.

and being honest I don't see how increasing main stand or annie road stands will increase the atmosphere at all, unlike a new stadium. Would love kop to be increased instead of annie road end

I was under the impression Anfield could not be redeveloped to have a capacity greater than 60k. So that sounds like a "fill my quota and hope I'm right" report.

Nah the problem was that people weren't willing to move house and sell up to the club, but the plan is to redevelop the area surrounding the stadium as well and relocate those people whose houses will be demolished.

Only negative is Bitters will get stanley park

Ah, I see. What will the Bitters do with Stanley Park, exactly? It's not like they're flush with cash.

Great news if true in my opinion. Having a 70k Anfield will be ideal as it keeps the atmosphere and memories intact.

i think it would be great if us and the bitters can take up new homes in the area, two side by side grounds with a huge football zone ,shops outlets etc, but i think if we cant afford it then the bitters definatley cant, unless someone buys them of course,i dont want to share thats for sure, but footie zone two grounds ! cool
