i agree babel has more potential ability but i would rather have a player that plays his best than a lazy [oops] like that

would like to see him given torres role for a few champs league games and carling cup. we don't have anyone else really, voronin, kuyt and ngog are really poor as lone strikers.

Agree with you Emp, Raf has tried to mould him to the Liverpool way & it just hasn't worked. It's as if he is the one kid in the class who doesn't listen & ends up like the dunce. He needs to be focused & get more involved. Release or cross the ball when appropriate and use that pace which some players would die for.

babel actually played ok for the dutch national team.

maybe it's because of the difference between the 2 systems in liverpool and in the national team......

but then, he's been here for 2 years, it's time to get used to things here.....

its a totally different world playing international footie - he isn't expected to do any work at all for the team with holland but for liverpool we expect him to tackle back etc ...... he has a poor attitude to the game and always has, which is why i was surprised we bought him

he is just not the right player for us ....... unfortunately he thinks he is already a star and doesn't realise he has much to prove!
