Well then as I'm new to these boards I thought I'd ask just what your stadium thoughts are?
Should we A) Still opt for a Brand new Stadium and make our views known B) Extend Anfield and spend the money on team strengthening?
Whilst the idea of a new stadium is appealing for the increased revenue factor, I'd be happier if we get the team right first and start winning things again, then spend on the stadium.
What think you?

don't want a new stadium at all they are all soulless bowls not fit for football and our first team is pretty sh!t so we should spend the money on the team and them win some trophies the prize money will help with the money side of things

Interesting point but how are we aver going to raise more revenue if we don't eventually expand the size of the stadium? I think we could easily fill the stadium and after a while you MIGHT even see a drop in ticket price.

would rather revamp anfield but it looks like it may not be possible to expand as much as we need to so we may have to build a new stadium,we may have to do an arsenal and pay off it but i suppose a bigger ground means more money which will pay for it on the never never ,i think it may aswell be sooner rather than later, but its a fine balance

House.M.D i think those sort of short terms decisions are what got us into financial uncertainty in the past. expansion of anfield looks the most likely and is the most important thing to help the club grow financially. we have to prepare for the financial fair play rules coming into place from uefa so imo it is key we expand.
the main reason for such low attendances before christmas was due to the fact no one wanted to watch us play under hodgson. now daglish is back our future looks bright and everyone is buzzing. if we expanded to 60,000 seats we could fill them and pass over an empty seats to schools and youngsters etc. over the course of a season that could potentially make us an extra £700k (approx) per game plus merchandising and catering sales. over the course of a whole season with cup competitions that could bring us an extra £20m+ per season
there are people surveying anfield at the moment then eventually they will pass the info over to an architect who will analyse the building and draw up construction plans if its possible to expand. if its possible we will expand anfield imo and this would be the most pleasing for the majority of fans.

so we spend 100 million of a banks money on the stadium witch means we spend basically nothing on the players so we stay where we are and more than likely drop even further down the table so no good players want to play for us... but it's okay because we're doing okay financially... like i said we need a balance between expansion on and off the pitch i don't want a new stadium at all i'd like us to expend anfield but i do think the council will be a big problem with that

would love to stay at anfield but im afraid the capacity would be somewhere between 55-60.000 and im not sure if that's enough.

its enough if we are getting into the champions league every year and maybe make more money from other revenues i mean we have never took full advantage of the LFC brand but these owners will make us the best in that department imo
