I think even Johnson won't join us based on your assumptions dasil. City are doing well and lets not forget the amount of money those players are getting. I think he would rather sit on the bench at city and earn his 500k a week wage bill instead of joining us. That leaves us to Charlie Adam and Ashley Young which are the only 2 good quality players based on their availability. I would not be suprised if Charlie decides to join united instead come summer. So the only option out there is Ashley Young which will cost atleast 20m. Why pay 20m for Young when we can pay that for arda turan, mata, sanchez, hazard who have much more talent and are younger. I would not sign any English players.
As long as Mancini plays Johnson once in a while, i'm sure he will stay> I think Mancini would rather keep him than strengthen us. but everyone has a price but not sure we should be going for him when he gets injured every so often.
British players are overpriced and overrated. It is a fact we all agree on. Arda, Mata would cost less than 20 but i think Sanchez and Hazard will be more than that.
So it is down to Charlie and Ashley. Right now, i think we need Ashley more than we need Charlie.
