We have forgiven him all these years because he is such an inspiration and great servant to the club. He is a legend and that is a fact.

but i cant see him in a team that passes from the back. Our centre backs have to be the start and the fulcrum from where we start the ball moving forward. that would take the pressure of giving the ball to the midfielders to do the job everytime.

Unbeaten in 6. Yes a disappointing draw. But for fuckks sake the vultures are out again. I can see ppls points on jova, he offers nothing whatsoever.

But maxi, nah I don't agree with. Everyone has there off days and maxi has been one of our better performers this season.

Ngog hasn't featured much of late so I think it's a bit unfair on him to, as earlier in the season he should of been involved more as he was banging them in.

But much as I think carragher should be replaced asap (while he is still at top of his game) he isn't known for his passing capabilites. For me the problem is his speed. PAssing from the back doesnt mean we have to play like brazil. When hansen used to bring the ball out from central defence he usually had a more solid defensive player guarding at hte back gillespie , Marc lawrenson or hysen. The best central defending pairings work like that in my view so with agger if fit who does that job not bad I dont see a problem with carragher except for the issue over his age/speed.
To respond to the post of dasil. I think that with carroll in the team we will have the right attack for 'pass and move style' because clearly teams that fanny about with the ball in nice passing triangles arent necessarily going to win any thing especially when we come up against spoiler teams ( like half the premiership is) Carrol will give us a chance not to be so predictable and especially away from home he will allow u s to play counter attacking football on the occassions when we dont have the ball for periods. In theory I think we have the makings of a team that will destroy other teams next season. Its not getting carried away, we need maybe one addition in midfield and a winger and the left back of course and we could become a winning machine.

These players are not good enough for the liverpool squad at all, and am sure they will be going in the summer, hopefully to be swapped by quality such as Ashley Young and more

Anyone else chuckle when they saw how jova played? No? It was kinda hilarious

However carra is the best organizer of the defense, he is the one who bark orders to everyone so until the club signs/finds a new defensive leader i don't see why he should be dropped long ball and whatnot. Oh, jova and maxi sell, ngog can warm the bench yet

Carrol will make us more predictable but then again if Suarez will balance that out. Wingers are not necessarily what we need - we need bloody crossers and if they come in the shape of wingers i'll take them

If we can get someone like Fabio Contreao we are bloody sorted. Ashley Young or Arda Turan (The assist king) who can drift and play on both wings will also do us good.

Kelly, Aurelio and Gerrard don't count as people who can cross a ball then? I think with Johnson on the left we are able to present a broad attacking front. Yes, he's no Coentrao, but he loves getting forward and that creates issues, especially with Kelly and Gerrard on the right and Meireles and Suarez in the middle. We will have the ability to have a very versatile attack, and as our ability to keep possession improves under Kenny and Steve Clark I think we're going to provide a lot of headaches for defenses. Carroll adds that element of height to the attack that we've been missing for so long as well, and combined with the speed of Suarez, Gerrard and Meireles I don't think one can plump for a one-shot defensive structure. I expect a lot more teams to start parking the bus against us, and with Agger and Lucas coming on we should have the quality to find a break through. The rest of this season is merely training for next season; we shouldn't finish below 6th from here (and given England's fair play status 7th should still work for Europa).

Only Gerrard can cross the ball with any real consistency and efficiency although he is quite terrible at corners for some reason.

Kelly and Aurelio has not shown it at all.

Bit harsh on Kelly, his crossing has been pretty good!

I dont think I'm harsh on him. I;m merely stating the facts. He is not bad but not great either but the good thing is that he has got time on his side to get it sorted. We brought Johnson in to provide some of that but even he is not great either. Then again, apart from Gerrard, no one is really that great at crossing in the squad.

I dont think we are one of the teams that score many from crosses.
