I'm not getting carried away. To get fourth I would sat we can only afford to drop points twice. That's a BIG ask I don't know the answer, so p'raps one of the more knowledgable geezers in here could throw some light on it, but just how many points did we drop in that fantastic 3 month end of season run in 2008/9 season when we came a close 2nd to the scum?

theres no gap between us and the top 4 its all in your mind, spurs are fragile we could smash them to pieces and mancity bunch of handbag swinging queens, man united underfergie will always be at the top or theirabouts , arsenal are happy being second, i would say the future looks promising for lfc

If I'm not mistaken Chelsea and Spurs both have 1 game in hand, if so then there is a potential of 9 points between us and fourth. We are in the position where we can only depend on the blunders of the team's above us, and if by the end of the season we win 4 more games then they do, (as well as all the teams below us), then fourth is ours. However, it is much easier said then done and we can only take each game as it comes, precisely as Kenny said we should.

i cant see sunderland catching us back up thats for sure. chelsea will drop more points but could still yet go on a decent run.
i feel we can beat united and city at home. at least take 3 points out of any of those games. and we can take spurs too. we just needs results against the lesser sides away from home.
don't see why we can't field the likes of jova/spearing/poulsen/kyriagkos/n'gog/cole in the europa

Just been checking on that, and true, they both have a game in hand, so a potential 9 point gap I suppose. However. Don't they have to play each other yet? Draw would leave the gap at 7, couple of blunders from both of them, continued excellent performances from LFC, and we'll be there, burning their southern softie necks with fire breathing flame spitting RED venom!

spurs will prove to be a flash in the pan, man city seem to have problems which mancini cant solve ie no sense of purpose other than stardom and selfishness amongst its players, and chelse since sacking wilkins, quite frankly the wheels fell off which explains why they panicked into buying gerbil torres.. We may not make up the gap this year but we are in no way behind these teams in the sense that we dont deserve to be up their fighting for a place in europen and yes i think we can get 4th this season.. Game in hand well what if they lose the game in hand then its 6 points and there are enough games left to recover that

We have nothing to lose, so lets go out their and fight till the end! People have written us off, so we either spoil the season for some teams or we get champions league next season. We are in a win-win situation at the moment with the future brighter then its been for quite some time!
