Meireles was quality today and is beginning to be the player I thought Aquaman was going to be! Finally, finally FINALLY the shadow of Xabi Alonso has left the club.
it just shows what a good run in the team can do for a player.he is turning out to be a star player for us.and like you say maybe if aquaman had been given the same run he may have turned out to be a star too.the same might also be said of babel.
I said some time ago that he will bring steel and intelligence into our squad. It is clear that this is his best position.
My only beef with him is that he is not able to complete 90 mins for several games. Once we get fitter and get used to this pass and move style, he should be able to strut his stuff for the whole game.
