He wanted the move to Liverpool but his agent has to play it down or the Valencia fans will turn on him.

Rafa has been after Silva for a while. Just Rafa got his main priority in Glen Johnson before David Silva. Again depends on what Rafa thinks is more important, seems a center back is on the cards.

Real Madrid interest in Silva has died. Barcelona seem to be out of the market. But who knows. Hopefully Rafa stamps his feet and gets Silva.

I have seen him play a couple of times but am not entirely convinced he's worth the reported 20 odd mil. Do you think he is?

its the greek. Silva is a dream, remeber the days when we were all young and we would look at those playboy and hustler magazines, then we would all wish we could have those pies,
Silva is just that, a dream, a wish... i doubt he will come.

Lets keep a eye out on Gullen Balage website for any new news regarding the LFC money box

No Liverpool or Man United Deal for Silva (GuillemBalague.com)

Is a move for David Silva imminent? That is the question being asked by supporters of both Liverpool and Manchester United on this website. The rumour mill seems to have been working overtime on this one and we have even seen comments posted on the site claiming that a deal has already been done with the Valencia player: with fans of both North West clubs believing he is as good as theirs…

Let`s start with Liverpool.

Rafa Benitez may make just one further significant signing this summer, and that could well be a centre back. Once the purchase of Aquilani has been completed, Liverpool do not have the funds available to sign David Silva. It would take at least €28 million to prize Silva away from the Mestalla, and that fee is beyond what Liverpool are able to spend on one player at the moment.

As Rafa confirmed at the start of the summer in an interview on this website, David Silva is a player he likes very much, but there is a limit to what will be paid and, now that Benayoun has proven his worth, the Spanish international is not an absolute priority for Benitez. At the start of the summer, when it became clear that Silva was going to cost upwards of €20 million, Rafa dropped his interest, and now that Benayoun has been given an improved contract, the Liverpool boss is not going to change his mind and, even if he did, he does not have the funds.

It had been reported on Spanish television yesterday that Valencia had offered David Silva to Liverpool, but the Premiership club rejected a deal. Why would Valencia do that? The situation at the Mestalla remains something of a contradiction and unpredictable, but we can assume that they still need to sell and they are concerned that there is no money coming in from the sale of either David Silva or David Villa (despite the fact that they could be about to receive a sizeable sum from Barcelona if a deal for Juan Mata goes ahead).

i think Silva is the last piece of the jigsaw. If we had him then i think we would fly it. He will give us cover in alot of areas including the wing and secound striker. IF ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cry
