look guys ive read all your posts and respect what ya saying but i think your missing the point about staying at anfield...... if we stay i dont thinks is just a matter of making extra tiers. i personally think it will be a complete rebuild. for example, either move away for a season while it gets done.( not a great idea but not unheard of, fulham!.)... or a long drawn out steady rebuild in phases...
and before you start saying i dont know what im on about because i dont know the area, if and i mean if you can rebuild the stadium and turn the pitch round 90 degrees, the row of houses which were inhabited the last time i was there, you knock them down. that would create enough room to make a bigger stadium with very little all be it some road rebuilding...

I want to stay at Anfield & we should expand. By the way, the empty seats on Wednesday nights recently is not just due to visitors from abroad struggling to get there midweek, I know a few people who go the match with kids & they just cant come because of the time of the match. Schools are normally the next day & kids just cant keep awake.

why is the houses all empty? i would have fought it would be a great location for liverppol supporters.

No matter which way you turn the pitch round or how high you build stands the problem still remains, the infrastructure for the surrounding areas cant cope with extra capacity.

Then improve the infrastructure so that it can cope. I think it can cope anyway, people always say things like this. Nobody worried about infrastructure when we had 60,000 packing Anfield in the 50's. Did the world come to a halt, or did people manage it.
Nobody had cars then just flat caps.

if the problem is parking build a car park with a monorail or tram or whatever the fùck transport link to the ground

red josh just looked at your link the design looks appalling. Its looks to be just as expensive as a purpose build ground and who the hell wants to be on that top tier? I understand from Utd fans you can't see a thing fron theirs. And a stadium should be a thing of beauty not an oversized mechano set.
No this is not an option.
