Liverpool teammates say aloof Torres plays for himself

Want-away Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has been accused of playing for himself.

Torres is angling to join Chelsea before tomorrow's transfer deadline.

One of Torres's team-mates told the Mail on Sunday: "He has always been a complex character. He is so naturally gifted he's always been totally self-absorbed.

"For the first year we'd put his quietness down to a lack of fluent English, but then he'd come out with something word perfect, which made you realise he understood what was going on all the time.

"It wasn't shyness, more aloofness. And on the pitch he'd definitely play for himself rather than the team. Even the real pros like Stevie Gerrard and Jamie Carragher noticed it but when Torres is on top form you'd forgive him anything.

"But his efforts for the team this season under Roy Hodgson made everyone notice. His Prozone stats for some games were laughable for a Premier League striker. He has always been admired by his teammates, but not loved. He hasn't endeared himself in the way that Pepe Reina has, for example."

Yea. Read that last week in the bog.
In a nutshell, he's a sh1t. mad

You look at his form this season. Only turned it 'on' against chelski to impress the grinning russian hyena, and then continued his fine vein of form when the transfer window opened.

Sorry, but I really and truly believe this nasty little lying two faced rodent has been deliberately playing this last 18 months in a style to simply meet his OWN and totally greedy selfish desires and end products.

As for his latest load of steaming heaving bullsh1t that came out of his nasty little mealy mouthed gob yesterday, I DON'T believ a werd of it.
chelsksi PR dept have had a werd with him to try and appease the LFC fans.
Too little and far far far too late rats turd t****s. mad

exactly, for example Babel who was a subject of critism during his tenure at Liverpool at least had the decency to thank the Liverpool fans for his time, however when Torres went to Chelsea all he has been doing is how "great" wink wink Chelsea is (cough cough, and their money).

And people are suggesting Babel is not so bad because he wrote some crap that he obviosuly couldn't have meant (or he would have trained and worked harder while he was here), and Torres is slammed because he praises his new club? It's ridiculous.

In YOUR opinion, to which you are perfectly entitled to, even if you're wrong. grin
Correct though. babal was a lazy git, and rat lad 2 t****s did indeed score plenty (81 I think) excellent goals.
I think you'll find, as has been suggested by various postees, that it was the MANNER in which he left, the lies and the utter bullsh1t that was expelled from his rancid little spanish gob that got up nearly everybodys' flamin' goat, bloody nasty TWO FACED little tool. mad

Rafa, Im sure everyone appreciates what he did to the club, but what he did in handing in a request just crumbled all the love and appreciation that the fans had for him. I thank him what he did for the club but no thanks for the manner he is leaving. Also he did alot but also did not win a single trophy with us, which kinda outlines his time in liverpool. Nothing special but thanks for the good times. He will forever be a forgotten man now.
