young will only have a year left on his contract in the summer. we should be able to get him at around £12m if he wants to leave but theres no doubt other teams will be interested.

back to last night though, quality football. love the way kenny changed formation and seeing it pay off with stoke frozen out for most of the game.

seeing suarez score within 17mins of his debut was great, i hope it gives him the belief and confidence to recapture his form (49 goals for ajax last season) and take the prem by storm. all of the "he needs time to adapt to english football" excuses can be thrown out of the window.


can't help but think if carroll had been on the end of that header in the 1st half we could have scored earlier. the embarrasment of kyriagkos being thrown up front was terrible to see during hodgsons reign, but at times it did pay off. so to have a striker who can provide a great aireal presence is something to look forward to. we have lacked that since sami hyypia left.

we wont be alone in summer dude...12m.....i bet mancs will come for him and possibly city as well...u cant rule out crazy fooking spuds as well....he wont come on cheap either in summer..we might enter in a bidding war or better look for non-english player.

it would depend on whoever bids for him n what villa accept for him.he will have a say but manure might attract him more whatsoever..offcourse they will go for the highest bidder...and as gossip says red nosey [oops] admires him.i think come summer...it would be us or mancs where young is gonna move...

Best football display I have seen in a while. The players played like some heavy weight had been lifted off their shoulders and I think that weight was that of le sulk. The pressure of always feeling that it was their fault that the great torres was not getting the ball. Seeing his quirmed face all the time on the field must have sapped morale. No, we can bury the ghost of le sulk for good now, it was a blessing in disguise that he is gone, Andy and Suarez for le sulk will prove to be a shrewd move.

Agreed. Although I don't think Kenny will employ such an adventurous system against the chavs who break with more quality and have better strikers. Kenny might possibly employ 2 holding midfielders. Stevie with licence to roam is best. System wise yesterday was the most unorthodox one yet, especially players wise but showed creativity. Expect nothing less from King Kenny.
