Seems to me that with Torres, Mascherano, and Alonso all going we have not met up with their standards.
Dont get me wrong Torres was engaged in a lot of double talk saying how committed he was to the club.
But is it enough to be buying big name players if we then can't offer them champions league football.
Wherein lies the blame and with whom?

1. owners (gillett and hicks)

2. sh*t managers (raffa and hodgson)

both have been rectified.

for a start it doesnt matter how many big named players we buy if the likes of torres cant be ar%ed playing for us! its better to have less known players who are team players and want only to play for the shirt,we are nothing if we arnt a whole team,thats more important than primadonnas who really believe they are more important than club or team mates.

Hope so. Because we dont want to be known as a selling club that turnovers players each season.
Dalglish though seems to be right choice but what about his successor.
Still think Rafa was a decent enough manager but he was stymied in his last season.

raffa went crazy. a case of excessive self belief.

dalglish may not need a successor. i predict he will be at the helm for two or three years, steady the ship, maybe win a bit of silverware and then step down.

I don't believe that a player has the right to demand anything of his club, outside looking after him financially and physically, that is. If he wants glory then he needs to help the club get it. If he wants glory but understands that his club can't get it (football is a team sport, after all), then he must either swallow his ambition and wear the shirt with pride or move to another club. There really isn't anything more to it than that.

I think any player who wants a transfer request should be forced to call a press conference and explain his reasons to the fans

with all the lies torres told us wud you believe him anyhow?

But it would make them think twice before going just to get paid
