Actually signing 2 frontliners added some options to attacking strategies... Carroll, Suarez, Maxi, Kuyt are all in my opinion better into depth than wingers. Since King was appointed, it was so effective when he positioned Kuyt and Maxi with more into-box roles and less wing-roles... Now, we may have more wing options with Suarez but less than many side attacks in a game...
We have two other great cards that could play in different positions, Aurelio is a good defensive midfielder if needed in that position. Johnson could play more midfield role and may be a winger if needed there as well...
Now it's not a matter of players playing each game,,, I thought Torres should leave in summer to keep stability in our team, and consider Suarez as an addition. Carroll and Suarez being NEW to Anfield is what really concerns me!!!

I think we need to learn to live with the current times. The traditional 442 does not work well anymore because these days players are fitter and more tactic savvy meaning they can attack and defend.

very few TOP teams play 442 as most of them play 433 with the attacking wingers helping the midfield during defensive situations and getting into the box to help the lone striker.

i believe that the 433 system suits our players best.

I'm not with You there, unless we sign some quality speedy wingers.

The player material we have now is more suited to 4-2-3-1 or maybe even 4-5-1. And as You know these 2 formations are just slightly altered 4-3-3-setups.

What we are lacking above all to be able to get good results playing 4-3-3 is speed! We might be able to attack well, but the defence and the midfield game will be lost against most of our opponents.

i really like the look of a 4-3-3 as long as we play with fluidity the formation can be adapted at any point in a match.

i would throw suarez in the LF role where he played for uruguay in the world cup.
keep kuyt on the right hand side. and have maxi / cole as options from the bench.

its a tough call now though, liked us with a player in the hole and a lone striker. with meireles performing well there it proves even more of a selection headache. but i trust kenny to get the best out of the team. he's turned out to be the best thing thats happened for this club in years. he's brought back the shankly legacy that all liverpool managers should look to emulate and what us fans are shaped with.

Suarez needs to b played as a forward NOT a wide man!so for now its 442. With suarez playing of carroll. Not carroll on his own in a 433 with two wider. Waste of suarez! He's a goal scorer nt a winger!!!!

Reina.
Kelly carra agger johnson.
Kuyt gerrard merieles cole
Suarez carrol.

Not sure about cole or maxi. And it could b a little risky playing stevie and merieles with no defensive cover, but if we play attacking football for most of the games we should be the team on the up so not too much cover should be needed.
