I think Tom Werner and John Henry have shown us a lot of commitment with these two purchases. They could have settled for Suarez and pocketed the money from the torres deal, or waited till the summer, but they want to keep us moving forward even in the January transfer window.

Think we got ripped off with the Carroll deal, but to buy an english player you need to spend big these days, and we needed more English grit and passion in our squad.

Once he is back and scoring then all this hype and ecsteria will disappear and he wcan get on with the job at hand.

Plus it is a tremendous time for Suarez to join, straight away he has been over shadowed by the carroll signing and is in the background. Carroll has all the attention, suarez does what he does best... scores goals

I'm very happy with NESV after yesterday. Most reports are that we were in for Young and Adam yesterday but Villa didn't want to sell and Blackpool wanted silly money. Maybe Kenny just felt Blackpool were taking the mick wanting £10m + and decided no. I think NESV were definitely up for spending more cash yesterday.

What about the £20m offered for micah richards but was turned down?I think people need to appreciate how crap this window is before we start on the owners.

On top of that Muj this time last year
"The new chairman Martin Broughton has had to appear before the Premier League to give a guarantee, which had to be backed up by the banks, that Liverpool will be able to fulfil their fixtures next season"

So think about how bad things were, and where we are a year on,i am very grateful for our current position,no need to whine about wingers etc.

Firstly, I think the trust that FSG had placed in KK yesterday shows that they think he is the right man for the job and will be here next season.

Second, FSG dserve a massive pat on the back for not sitting back and relaxing. They realised we needed another striker and went out and bought one at whatever the cost. This is the sort of reaction we have been lacking for a number of years and missed out on countless world class players i.e. Ronaldo and Zidane to name a coulple.

Imo we can now have a genuine go at getting fourth spot, although Spuds and Sh!ty might av different ideas. They are not quite the finnished artical yet and think they might fall by the wayside on the run in,
