Some fans were seen burning the no.9 Judas shirt. Question is - was it necessary to do so? Are we so classless to be embroiled in such bitterness?

Judas did let us down and what he did absolutely stank. However, I think we should all be gracious and remember the good times he gave us. I certainly would thank him for the goals he scored during the 3 years he was with us.

When he returns to anfield, I would clap him when he steps out of the tunnel but when the match starts, he'd better be able to take the heat from the Kop end.

Absolutely agree mighty, All his past efforts cannot be just buried and forgotten. He gave us 2 good years but unfortunately he did not win anything and I guess thats what he wants. Shirt burning is just a disgrace and it portrays how the modern fan is, today he's with you, and tommorrow he's against you its just pathetic. I reckon those stupid SOS group are the ones to blame.

Saw the pic in the metro over here in Dublin. scumbags I might add here. Either wear or don't wear the shirt.

Do they not realise that they are burning our crest?

Shirt burning is a disgrace. Torres was a great player for us and without him the last two seasons we really would have been screwed! But these people are a minority thankfully. It just makes me laugh, with what they are doing do they really think it's going to help when we are trying to bring players in after they have seen that?

First of all WAKE UP. Sly TV tried all day to get kids to burn shirts for the camera. They were buying them just to burn them ! ironic! There's footage on youtube (I'm looking for it) of the camera crew giving gerrard shirts to anyone who'll burn a torres shirt. Great tv and reclaim has his point finaly, somefans realy are fickle. And somr, on here, naive.

Why not get a Chav shirt and burn that?

But its stupid. We don't need to be doing [oops] like that. We are better than that. Like it or not, there is no loyalty in football today and players will always move. The days of a one club player are gone.
