Surely we could get Hulk or Gomez for that kind of money? If we're willing to spend that much there must be a host of clubs willing to sell their strikers to us.

35m for caroll? thats just crazy. i rather have bent, it looks like villa got value for money. a week ago i was think 15m was too much but 30/35 u must be kidding. surely torres is worth double if not triple carolls money

Yeap we would be laughing if any other club was spending that amount of money on him..


Its utter madness but lets just hope he does turn into a top player if he signs because he is not a top player just yet..

Well it gets worse. Talksport reporting it's 35m + addons, and the Torres deal is 48m WITHOUT Anelka.

BULLLLSH!TTTT rooney is twice the player carroll is. This is a [oops] embaressment. 35 mill plus ad ons is being quoted. Beyond ridiculous. Our club is an embaressment if we pay that.

Have you watched Rooney this season?

Since nailing down a starting place Carroll has scored 14 goals in 24 starts, what's wrong with that?

He's only going to get better and he's got 10 years of top flight football in him....
