I'm feeling very concerned by what has just crossed my mind. While a lot of what I'm saying is based on speculation it all fits!
Mr Purslow came into Liverpool to help out with the sale of the club. Apparently when Woy took over in his first interview I recall him saying something along the lines of " I had a chance to speak to torres briefly to discuss footballing maters. I left him and Purslow to discuss the clubs intentfor the future".
Now it is alleged Torres has a get out claus in his contract of £50m. It is also alleged the person who put it there was Purslow and Purslow came to aid us from Che......
Perhaps it's been planned all along!

I think your over reacting there mate. This is no conspiracy. Every high profile player has a sale clause on it just to protect his value, Llorente, Suarez, Aguero, etc all have this. Calm down
Back to Back World Champions baby!

Please stop blaming everyone and anyone , there only one person to look at Senor Sly Torres Glad to see you've opened your eyes since my last post. Oh, wait, was that sarcasm that will be lost on half the people reading this? Never mind. Not long ago you were blaming a certain manager for all our ills, but now it's all Torres's fault? Come on, mate, you're slipping into the same category Reclaim is in: blind hater. Someone doesn't tow the party line, so it's all "everything is your fault you piece of sh*t, now f*ck off!" You weren't saying this when he signed, you ignored the boardroom cr*p that's turned his head, and now you knife him for showing he's serious about threatening to leave if we showed no ambition in the transfer market (he's been threatening to go for the last two seasons, remember?). Grow the hell up. Ask yourself a question: how much did Celtic weep when Dalglish (and I quote that video Dunc posted earlier) "became too good for them"? Did the fans turn on him the way you have turned on Torres? I tell you now: Torres is too good for Liverpool FC, and always has been. It's simply taken him (and us) a few seasons to realize it.

its all henry, comolli, and torres agent doing the dirty work, and they want torres to leave, so all of them can make money from the deal.

If i told you i would help you put bricks up for your house and then said i dont want to anymore, how would you feel about me? excuse the lame metaphor.

If i told you i would help you put bricks up for your house and then said i dont want to anymore, how would you feel about me? excuse the lame metaphor. Um - sorry, mate, but who broke the promises first? Your metaphor works, except that you've got the wrong people in the roles: Torres is not the bricklayer. He's the guy who's been let down, he would have left during the summer but for more promises (just like SG in 2005, except that Rafa delivered). Torres then urges the owners to put their money where their mouths are, and all they do is offer half for Suarez and half for Adam and then *leave it at that*. That's not putting your money where your mouth is. It was the last straw for Torres, and now you're calling him the traitor? A little objectivity would be nice. Oh, and you're quoting topscout as proof? That's a joke. The guy guesses worse than I do. Oh, and if he is right about the owners being skint, then Torres has all the more reason to want to leave because then their promises to him were just as empty as the sh*t H&G shoveled. Still not his fault he lost his faith in the club, is it? Think about this: in 2007 we reached the CL final. At the time we had what was becoming the most feared strike partnership (Torres + SG), the most dependable midfield (Alonso + Mascherano), the best keeper (Reina), and arguably the best manager (Rafa) in the last 20 years. That doesn't come easily, and none of these people outside SG have overblown egos. So to end up where we are (on the brink of having only Reina and SG remain of these people) really requires an awful lot to go wrong. Yet you (and several thousand others it seems) think that Torres is the traitor when he's just the latest hit by the fallout. He should have left in the summer, he held on because he wanted to believe, and they trampled on his dreams yet again. This time Chelsea actually put some money on the table, and I'll bet he doesn't want to be lied to again. Sad as it is to admit, I have to agree with Reclaim. LFC fans really are incredibly fickle.

the last 5 years have severely hurt LFC. new owners in, ship steadied, then began to sank. oweners out, new ones in, new manager in, new manager out.
its going to take a long time to relay the foundations again and we haven't even a permanent manager yet.
So from Torres side, i can see why he wants to leave if he wants to win the league. he just can't afford to wait any longer.

Are chelsea garanteed CL next season will they win the league this season? I don't care what sort of person Torres is, he is simply one of the best strikers in the world at the mo, and I have loved watching him play for us. It's not hard to see why he wants to leave, the club has turned a corner but it is not fast enough for Nando. But I still think the timing is bad and Chelsea is the wrong move for him.
