Anybody like how NESV are handling the situation with Torres? Not over reacting or anything but playing a bidding game. Smart men if you ask me!

I thought Commolli is in charge of this? Isn't he our strategist, no doubt the owners are in the back somewhere but I think Commolli is pulling the strings. Atleast I hope he is.

This is PURE negotiation guys and Me. Henry will be a professional at this from his business days and in his dealings with Red Sox so BELIEVE in him and what he can do. If Torres is going you can bet your house on it that LFC will walk away from this with a large and profitable transacation. Mr. Henry is a business man. You're right: we don't *need* Torres, just like we don't *need* SG or *need* Reina. Football is a game played by 11 people after all. But here's the question: how much did we *need* Alonso?

You have a hard on for Torres? Not really important in the team, We do have Suarez now. He should be a decent replacement (although i'm not his biggest fan). Is your wallpaper a picture of Torres shirtless posing for you? and yeah we can deal without Steven gerrard, Reina, Torres. We would pull through with other players. And I don't see Reina trying to transfer to Chelsea or Steven Gerrard at that point. Alonso left, he left with class. he was happy at Liverpool.

I think if we are to speak about specifics then I'm with Thundyr on this. We need Torres to get 4th place. After that, this need might expire.

Suarez is not to be mentioned in the same breath as Torres unless he proves himself. Till then, i dont think it is fair to say he is a decent replacement. At this stage, Liverpool is not a better team without Torres and it has been proven many times over.

I think what you want to say is that the club is bigger than anyone and will always be. And if that's what you really want to say, then i'm with you.
