I'm confident that by the end of next season that we'll have overtaken chelski, man city and spurs and will be back in the top three. With or without the spanish sulk, we are on the way back up. chelski, on the other hand, are very much at the end of their very short period of success. Hope you enjoy the ride down, Nando. Fricken twatt.

Totaly. It would be sickening to see someone who wants to play for the Chavs so much wear the red shirt again.. Whatever happens now we will all know for sure that he would rather be playing for Chavski that Liverpool FC.

Is it sickening to see Steven Gerrard still in a red shirt?

Bit different as Gerrard (whether you believe him or not) has said he changed his mind because he wouldn't want to win medals at any other club, they would mean nothing. And has been loyal ever since. All we know from Fernando is that he wants out. Unless he does a 180 and says something along the same lines (and means it) it's easy to understand this kind of reaction. If he stays and doesn't convince anyone, or worse, says nothing, it's going to be very uncomfortable seeing him in a Liverpool shirt for the next 4 months.

I still doubt fans will boo him or be silent if he does stay and is banging them in from all over the place!

And if he doesn't? Head down and letharic performances?

BTW it wasn't long ago that Lucas was getting booed by a large section of Liverpool supporters.

And I didn't agree with that either...booing an of your players regardless of their performance is a disgrace IMO.

As much as I admire the belief that any player who isn't 100% committed should be booted out, I would be absolutely sickened to see him go. Getting Suarez was a step forward, and Torres going would be two steps back. Don't get me wrong I hate the petulant, lazy, puerile Torres we've seen so much of lately, but there's no finer sight than the Torres ripping through the heart of Chelsea or Man U's defences.

On the other hand, what the hell is he thinking putting his request in now?! Such awful awful timing. To me, it shows a huge lack of respect to the fans. The same fans who have given him such adulation, sing his name from the stands every week, even when he barely be arsed to remain conscious. I guess I just cant get my head round why you'd leave a club where every child in the stand idolises and adores you, for the sake of an extra £40k a week and no guarantee of silverware. The lack of loyalty and mindblowingly massive amounts of money being thrown about is a very ugly feature of the modern game. Its really putting me off football.

By the way, if he scores against us when we play them on the 6th I will go absolutely bonkers.

Lads, hold your judgements and keep your feelings in check for just one more day until which i can guarantee we will all know much more. I understand that it feels like a betrayal of the highest order but let's be sensible and factual about this entire saga.

To speak about him rotting in the reserves or hunting him down when we play chelsea is not really helping the rest of us here.

Totally agree with "dasil".

business is business. If he goes we will get money for him. business transaction. If he goes to Chelsea WE ALL know he will regret it. People should not start saying things like hunting him down or someone said last night on another thread "I hope Carragher busts him at next training session".

The lad is a footballer with what seems like it, no loyalty (assumption at the moment) so expect no loyalty and we won't be dissapointed.
