I like everyone else, am totally baffled by the timing of all this. Why does he bang a transfer request in just 2 days before the window closes, knowing the chances of any transfer going through before Monday night are very slim? Why does he place a transfer request in just a couple of hours after Suarez signs for us/ Bit of a coincidence this imo, and I may just be scraping the barrel for a bit of speculation, but is there p'raps some 'history' between the two players that we don't know about?
Maybe not, I dunno, maybe I'm just clutching at straws, trying to grasp some sort of reason behind all this utter crap, or p'raps he's just nieve and absolutely thick as pig sh1t?
Who knows, who actually cares anymore.
If that's your attitude lad, just GO, and don't bother slamming the door after you, as we'll do it for you.

Thinking quietly about this, summat has happened that we don't know about. I just cannot get me nut around that he's simply suddenly decided that enough is enough, and I'm going.

we cant win the league and we cant give nando the team he deserves well not right away reports suggests chelsea are going to spend big i'm guessing nando has been told this chelsea are going to buy players like david luiz, alexis sanchez, juan mata, sergio aguero maybe even rooney we cant compete with that spending but if we let him go now in this window then the board and kenny have let us down 3 days to go, no time to get new players in reject all bids and get nando on the pitch with gerrard and suarez and hope for the best its our only hope of keeping him past the summer if not then we sign nzogbia, benzema, contrao

I think Torres is being played like a fiddle.
Story is that Chelsea's reps spoke to Torres's reps six days ago. Torres's reps say, "Oh, yes, he's keen to move, he'll push for a deal!"
Then a couple of days later, Abramovich orders Chelsea to make a bid.
Now personally, I don't see Torres going to his reps a couple of weeks after saying, "I'm a professional, I fulfill my deals", etc., etc., and demanding they try to engineer a move for him. To Chelsea. I just don't see it.
But I can see Torres's reps pushing it. All they'd have to tell him is that he needs CL football, he can get that right now at Chelsea, and Chelsea won't let him down with promised investment that never comes, Abramovich wants him personally, he'd be supported there... and so on. They could tell him that everyone will understand if he puts in a transfer request, it's normal, etc., etc. It's all too easy to see.
It's also balls of course. The investment in Liverpool is showing up right now. There's no guarantees with Chelsea in the state they're in. And submitting a transfer request, two weeks after proclaiming that you're a professional who always fulfills his deals, and a couple of days before the end of the January transfer window, is never going to be a good idea. It's terrible advice.
But if Torres is surrounded by people telling him it's not... you can see what might be happening.
