Its a frustrating situation for us fans. We all want to see investment in top quality player (which Suarez is) but have yet to see anything. We always seem to leave it until the last minute. I just hope that, now, without the distraction of a game we can get some deals sorted at the right prices.

I get what your saying. You shouldn't put your top offer in first. But them asking 30m is no more absurd than us offering 12m. Putting things into perspective it's the same as someone offering you £9k for your £15k car. Or them offering £120k for your £200k house. What would you say if a team came in for reina and offered £7m. I think it's a joke tbh.
It gets on my nerves why liverpool ALWAYS take ages to do anything during a transfer window.

If we offered 12m it was as a first offer to see what they would accept. He might be worth a bit more than that, but with 18 months on his contract, one year from now he can sign a contract with us for free. So yeah, maybe 15-16m, but he's not worth that much more than that. 30m is a joke, and 20m is really pushing it.
They could have had Babel in the deal, but they wouldn't even accept what Hoffenheim were willing to pay. So it is Ajax that are being unreasonable, not us. 15-16m spot on for Suarez but I do think Adam is worth doubling the initial offer and rounding to about 8m. Having Adam can provide Kenny different formation options.

I agree if you had an asset a car or whatever worth 18 and someone offered 12 thats offensive and they would be told to jog on. Opening offer or not be realistic if the money is not there dont waste anyones time. If it is negotiate realistically.

I recon the fact that Ajax is still talking about that transfer and the possibility of selling Suarez on every occasion they have is good for us. It's mean that they want to sell, of course they want as much money as thay can get from this transfer, but thay still didn't say to us "jog on". They know that Suarez will sign for us - if not now than in the summer, but if they sell him in the summer - they fill sell him for much less...I'm keeping the faith - from business point of view - they should sell now - and we know it - that's why I think we don't want to splash cash!

tbh im glad were not going to start shelling out over the odds. i know people want a new signing, and are saying "just pay the 30 mil", but what if he isnt worth the money, then the same people will be saying "why did we waste all our money on suarez". if he's not worth 30 mil, dont pay 30 mil. kenny is bringing back the old values, we're noone's bitch.

Apart froma few exceptions in 'ere.  Just read on Skysport web site that Koncheski is in 'advanced' talks with Fulham for a quick return on loan until the end of the season. Nice one.
