theres still time for deals to go through. the press have thrown just about every name they possibly can into the hat so why should we believe what they are saying all of a sudden? seems to me like we are going about things in the right way. if we make moves for 2 targets and manage to sign them theres a good chance they will appear in the same press conference. bit like jova, cole and wilson in the summer

It would be great to get Suarez and Adam but both their sides are playing hardball and trying to get more than they're worth...Ridiculous amount of money being asked and would prefer not to sign them if we're getting ripped off!

But to be fair, it's quite insulting to Ajax that we are only offering £12m for the most prolific striker in the dutch league. Comoli only has himself to blame imo. If we hadn't messed them about and went in with an offer for £20 they probably would have taken it!

Test the water, see what they come back with and negotiate! There's no way I would pay 30 mill for him.....He may be worth 16-20 mill at most but unfortunately Man City have inflated the market price of players and Ajax think they can play that game too!

Would rather hold the cash than payer over the odds.

The 30 million they are asking for is very unrealistic, and if we offered anywhere near that they would not budge. However, by bidding 12 million we probably thought they would ask for a more realistic 20-24 million and negotiate from there, but that hasn't happened at all. If we bought him for anything near 25 million he would have no re-sale value with the fair play rules most likely to drive transfer prices down.

Dunk has been saying for the last couple of weeks that he reckons the deal is agreed in principle and amount set but negotiating wether it will be cash up front or installments. (for Suarez)
