Allowing Kuyt to move on would make sense if we are to sign Adam or/and N'Zogbia.

I can't see how we can afford to lose Kuyt yet. He might not be everyones cup of tea but he does a job for us most of the time and can cover several positions. We can't change too much at this stage in the season

Wolfsburg manager Steve McClaren has offered £6m for Liverpool flop Milan Jovanovic.

The former England manager is desperately trying to fill the void left by star striker Edin Dzeko who joined Manchester City for £27m last week.

And McClaren has targeted Jovanovic, who has failed to make an impression at Liverpool since joining on a free transfer in the summer.

The 29-year-old has started just two Premier League games since August and could be allowed to leave by new manager Kenny Dalglish.

Serie A sides Fiorentina and Genoa have also been keen on Jovanovic, but reports in Germany have revealed that Wolfsburg are the first team to make a formal offer

In brief it says HSV rejected Liverpool's offer of loaning Elia with an option to buy today according to Hamburger Morgenpost. An earlier loan deal to Real Madrid was also rejected.

liddlepool whats your water saying now?????

Umm chances are slim you mean, with Babel not heading to Ajax we cant cut them a deal with cash + babel. Wouldve been alot easier to get Suarez using Babel as makeweight plus cash, dont see us getting the Uruguyan international now, unless we pull a rabbit out the hat.

Ajax want Kuyt as the striker replacement + 22m cash. They never wanted Babel in the first place. Even the Dutch media have reported this.
