To me, you are either FOR mixing genders in sports (that includes women refs and players in the mens game) or AGAINST it.
If you are for only women on the lines but no refs, or women on the lines and refs but no players then you have double standards. It's glaringly obvious why women shouldn't be in the mens game and why we even HAVE a mens and womens game. Because the majority of women couldn't complete physically (I'm sure they could do a job on the lines but that's not my point)
The main reason is that the general public would NOT like to see women be hard tackled (noting sexual intended) by a man, or abused if they were a ref. To say it's ok for them to be on the lines is double standards.
To have a womens game and a mens game yet to crumble into half-measures of allowing no players but refs, or no refs but them on the lines, is reducing the idea of gender sports to half-measures and utter double standards. It's ridiculousness in the extremes, hiding the obvious social and physical gaps between genders whilst still trying to pander to the political correctness of it all.
Anyway I've said my piece on this issue, the pc nutters on here who don't understand can now call me all the 'isms' their little hearts desire, it wont change the reality.
