back in the 80's squads were smaller, there wasn't as much movement of players as there is now. Kenny's way of thinking is not to go out and get a new team but to change the mentality of the ones he's already got which to me is a sign of a great manager and it will give all those players a boost. His man management will be something that will impress the players. Its a tactic or trait should i call it that Jose has perfected at Chelsea, Inter and Real. With Kenny this comes natural. YNWA
Don't keep any player that doesn't want to play for Liverpool FC. Lets build the squad through the youth teams. YNWA

I personaly dont think there is much improvement at all, the two biggest games Liverpool play in a season are United and Everton so there should be some motivation there or these players should'nt be playing, you seen against Blackpool that the problem is against teams we are expected to beat. I cant understand fans really I cant, Hodgson got hammered for playing Meireles out wide, yet when Dalglish does it and brings in Poulson against Blackpool nobody bats an eyelid coz it's King Kenny, total b0l0cks, if Hodgson had brought in Spearing even though he has'nt kicked a ball in ages he would of been slagged too, if it was Hodgson who got beat at Blackpool there would of been a massacre on the forums but under Dalglish it's improvement, it's a complete joke.

Reclaim, in his first week of management, if Hodgson had played Meireles on the wing, there would have been no real criticism. In fact, even months into his disaster in charge, he was playing Meireles out of position, and there were only a few minor grumbles. It was a build up month by month of frustration with the poor performances. Nobody cares if Meireles plays ont he wing and we win 5-0 every game. It is only because we were so poor, and Meireles ont he wing obviously wasn't helping. You seem to be expecting fans to treat Kenny after 1 week when he hasn't bought a player, with how they treated Hodgson after 6 months having brought in several players of his own choosing. That seems absurd. There is one rule for Hodgson and one rule for Dalglish and thats where it unfair. If Hodgson had made the same mistakes Dalglish has been making he would of been hung out to dry. All this backing Dalglish is, is a small minded Club mentality bit like Newcastle with Keegan and Shearer and the outcombe will be similar or maybe not quite as bad, there is no room for sentimentality in football and thats all this Dalglish appointment is, fans are just making a show of themselves with there blinkered support of this man...

It was only his second game. At the beginning of the Hodgson era people were patient. After 6 months he still wasn't leading the team to the top half of the table. And making some very weak excuses. Now mate you need to be the one with some patience. Get real ;-) Talk when KD has played the same number of games. You might just be wrong. Let's hope you are.

Just remember why Kenny is here, yep thats right because roy hodgson is a FAILURE.He was bought in to steady the ship(whatever that means),and now Kenny is having to clean up the shambolic mess left by him.

Hodgson doesn't have Dalgish's reputation nor his success. Nor his knowledge of the club. You're the one that's blinkered or are you just having a laugh?

Of course they're treated differently, one is a legend, the other was the wrong appointment! Why compare to Newcastle's situation? they craved for shearer and Keegan, two idols not winners! what have they won! Kenny is a proven winner regardless of when\how he quit, he won trophies. He has shown in just over a week that he still has his edge, he still wants to win and he still wants his teams to play football. I Don't see what the problem is.

The Dalglish chants started against City second game of the season, tell me again how Hodgson was treated fairly...

What I'm loving is the common sense comments, the perspective and the belief. A breath of fresh air and the last few months, I'm feeling optimistic again!
