Yeah we battled well against the blues but don't all teams battle when theyr down near the bottom? We still need quality players to come in but i think only 3 big signings will be needed, attacker, center mid and someone who can play both wings. Don't forget the team is a bit misbalanced at the moment with stevie and carra out.

yeh centre half is a big problem for us, skrtel and soto or mince and even though agger is probs the best we have he is always injured or ill it would seem. id give wilson and ayala a shout at the back, nufin really to play for the rest of this season so id try blood in a few of the promising younsters but i none of that will probably happen haha

Playing two young centre halves with not much game time would mental. I'd also like to point out we're only a few point ahead of the bottom 3.

With a couple of wins? Not unless someone gets points deducted, it's not that tight. We're 4 points off eighth (no game in hand), 4 points off 7th (game in hand), eight points off 6th (game in hand), and a stonking eleven points off fifth (no game in hand).

We could maybe get to seventh with a couple of wins. But realistically a push for 6th or 5th will require us to go on a serious winning streak.

Which I still think we're capable of doing personally.

ah im feeling pretty positive about this. i know were in danger of this and that, but i have such a good feeling about kenny being back. you can tell in his interviews how tuned in he is. he still has the passion on the sidelines, the belief and pride is back in the fanbase, players are starting to come good, and with a few more signings we could become the scurge of the premiership.

11 points off 5th is a tough ask. However 4 off 7th can be overcome fairly quickly, but it takes discipline and hard work. Yes it does mean we have to leap a large number of clubs, so it's not going to happen before the end of January, but 8-10 points from our next 4 games should be enough to at least halve that gap, if not nullify it completely. We need to stop leaking such simple goals; we had absolutely no organization at the back once Agger was off the pitch. Maybe the goals should not have stood, but I think we only woke up once we were a goal down, and that's inexcusable. At least we came back for the win; we need a bit more fire in the belly.

Kenny is definitely making progress. He turned 10 good minutes against Blackpool into 45 vs Everton. Now we just need to keep our heads until Stevie and Carra are back, and hopefully with a reinforcement or two. Then we can put some kind of run of results together.

It's not a bad squad; not perfect, deep, or strong, but not so bad that we deserve our position on the table. Morale was shot to pieces, and injuries and illness haven't helped. But I honestly feel that the worst is behind us and hopefully we'll finish the season strongly.
