It would seem Kenny is looking to get a proven left-back, which is just essential. The imbalance in the team is making Kenny play Glen on the left; the lad could not make crosses, understandably. Glen would be best suited in RM with Kelly in RB, but opposition managers would simply not play and heavily defend on that flank and exploit the other weaker flank. The answer lies in a strong LB so there are no weak areas to exploit. Players in left and right midfield can attack with confidence and we all know Glen’s flair for attack. At the minimum, in this window, we need a good a proven left-back and a world class striker. The rest of the defence can hold on until the summer, it is not terribly easy to attack down the middle.
