Came through the youth setup, played first team on the left for a couple of seasons during 04/05 and 05/06. He's a left-back.
We sold him to Blackburn in 07, he did well there - think he was their player of the season in 08/09 - then Villa signed him in August 09. He's been in and around the England squad as well.
