Hindsight is very interesting, because Sami, Arbeloa and Alonso are being tlked about as major losses.
In the time when they were actually here, Sami was thought to be a legend, but past his best, looking a bit slow now and out of it. Useful as a backup, but not really cut out to play every week now.
Arbeloa was felt to be not good enough, many thought he was worse than Finnan, a step backwards, he ended up plying right back, left back even centreback in an emergency, and left for not that much money. Not really a huge loss. Since when did the man become a major loss. When he was here, I heard a LOT of fans saying that was a bad signing from Rafa.
Alonso was always felt to be a player with massive talent, who never quite could show it all. He had 2 good seasons with us in all the time he was here, one was just before he left, so some will pretend he was a world beater for us. He wasn't. He was capable of brilliance but inconsistent. Luis Garcia was capable of brilliance but also inconsistent. Alonso was the better, and we definitely did miss him, but not as much as people make out.
If you want to know where it went wrong, it went wrong from Moores. Moores wasted the position we as a club were in. He appointed bad managers, and let them rip out the team (Sounness), followed by inexperienced managers like Evans, followed by another average manager in Houllier, and through money at him, then sold the club to two american bandits.
That is where it all went wrong. And all this happened between May and August 2008 then did it? Well knock me down. Didn't you read my original question?

I think we all have mates who support the Club and come from outside the City, I have never said they should be stopped or anything like that as they play an important role my point is the numbers should of been capped a while ago in order to protect the Club's Liverpool identity. I think what might be a good idea is to open an Out of Town and Foreign fan Posting where people can express there views freely and then leave it open, that way Out Of Town and Foreign fan opinions wont spill into other threads, lets face it like it or not there is an issue here... OMG! You must be mentally impaired or something! LFC went from being a local club the day we first signed an OOT player. That player came from somewhere else, which meant that OOT fans suddenly started to find LFC interesting. Their former player was now living in Liverpool playing for LFC. On top of that we started winning titles, which upped the interest for the club. We then started winning over fans from OOT, found it more easy to attract OOT players simply because we were a good team that won titles. It also helped a bit that we spent big money on players. Reading Your strange posts lead to the conclusion that residents in Liverpool have the right to watch all the games, and that the team certainly should contain the best players. But OOT fans are only welcome if the seats aren't sold out = padding! If someone (probably only You Reclaim!) wants the OOT fan numbers to be capped, then maybe it's a good idea to also cap the OOT player numbers. That way LFC will start attracting more locals for sure. Have You thought about that? Why are You constantly slagging off OOT fans who just love the club and their fellow local fans who are surrounding/supporting it? Start slagging off the locals who are not supporting the club instead! That number should have a floor! Oh, and separate threads for locals and OOT's! You ARE joking, right? If not, then my suggestion is 2 separate LFC teams as well. One with locals (Spearing and Gerrard?) and one with OOT's (the bleedin' rest!). Why not 2 separate stadiums too?! Anfield for the locals (and local players) and Standard Chartered Arena for OOT fans (and players). That way we should double our winning chances too!?

How in the name of our holiest of holy Lords did this thread of MINE get onto this most tiresome of subjects OOT's ey, HOW? Doin'me friggin' nut in it is. Look, we're all LFC fans, supposedly, and it matters not one jot where the hell you come from as far as I'm concerned, in fact as I stated earlier, the more fans we have from countries scattered all over the werld, the better, cus quite frankly, these lads from abroad have more humour, respect and manners then some of the English in here tbqh. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be English, never mind scouse.

sieg heil, reclaim. protect the identity of the club? why stop there? why not do a dna test of the local area to make sure that the blood of the locals is pure and hasn't been diluted by foreigners and what was it you said in a previous post...."gypsies".

Here we go again. I think it's complete bullsh1t to suggest that the club is for scousers first and foremost. It's not plain and simple. I'm from the city many of my friends are not they love and understand the club as much as anyone. This 'we are scouse and elite' is embarrasing at the very least. I think we all have mates who support the Club and come from outside the City, I have never said they should be stopped or anything like that as they play an important role my point is the numbers should of been capped a while ago in order to protect the Club's Liverpool identity. You are REALLY starting to get RIGHT ON MY TITS NOW! Leave off this OOT sh1te before I lose me rag.

The way I have interpreted the postings are about changes which have stopped us being where we were or altered the Club and for me poor Chairman, managers, players and a change in the support have all contributed, thats just my opinion. I have said all these things in the beginning but people have decided to target my views on the support part rather than the others for some reason, thats how the OOT issue has developed into the post, I have just defended my views and I will stick by them...
