Look. Are we agreed that Blackpool played better last night than the scum did on Sunday? They play attractive attacking footie, home and away which is why they are in the position they are in. Yes, they leak goals, but they do push forward. and just because they were one of last years promoted teams, doesn't automatically mean they are going to be crap, even though evrybody thought they were going to be so. The werd /name Blackpool sounds like a fun name, a team their for the taking, but as many teams have found out this season, thwey are in fact a damned good and attractive club, managed by one of the most charasmatic and forceful managers in the game. So, take heart lads. We possibly played our best AWAY footie last night, even thiugh we were beaten. Beaten by a bloody good and difficult side.

i agree growler.
i think we need to become a little more introvert, close ranks and just let the healing process begin. it'll take time, but hopefully we will get there. it aint gonna happen over night.
as they said during the game last night 39 players have pulled on the red shirt for the club this season. 39!! thats a lot of players to try out and as kenny said sometimes a new manager can bring out a player who hasnt been performing to date. he needs to work with them all for a bit to see who is worth keeping. kenny isnt panicking, he's fully aware of where we are at at the moment, and he will go through the necessary process without looking for a quick fix. we're just going to be a bit crap for the season, but i think fans will get behind kenny and come the start of next season we'll look more like a proper club.
Luis Garcia, He drinks sangria He came from Barca, to bring us Joy He's five foot seven, he's football heaven please don't take my Luis away.

they are not spending in january first off.
secondly, its best to leave kenny there no matter what happens till we sort out the massive amount of baggage we are carrying. we just need to stay in the PL, and go shopping in the summer when the infrastructure of the club is sorted out, and the permanent manager is in place, whoever that may be.

To be fair to Kenny he had a really tough start. 3 games in 7 days, all difficult, Stevie, Cole, and Carra out, and he doesn't even get time for a casual glance at the players prior to the first. That we can already see progress in our play is in itself remarkable.
I don't agree with his selection, but he might not have had the reserves he would have wanted due to their commitments, and he couldn't risk another 90mins with Everton ahead, having just played an hour with 10 men; you saw the state Kuyt was in. For me the selection of Poulsen says he was scraping the barrel for midfielders. The fact that he played Johnson on the left should have told Konchesky all he needs to know about his worth to the red shirt.
So yeah, we look really stupid now with Insua and Aquilani on loan - just as I predicted we would 6 months ago. A creative midfielder and a wingback who knows something about crossing the ball are two aspects of the game we've missed. Now that our manager wants us to play football we have no footballers.
If we lose against Everton I blame Gerrard entirely; that we haven't got two draws is already his f*ck up.

hankering over 2 nobodies (insua and aqua) that have proved to be not able to cut it in england is not really going to get us anywhere. and u can blame merieles for stevie getting sent off, if he hadn't of pulled out of a tackle 2 secs earlier then stevie wouldn't have done that tackle No excuse emp, I love Stevie G but he's the talisman who leads by example. That was not a good example! He put in a stupid tackle in a match refereed by a Muppet... ...Only one outcome.

Insua's 5 assists in the league and Aquilani's 6 last season would seem to suggest otherwise. We're over halfway through the season now, how are Konchesky and Meireles doing? Oh, 1 and 2 respectively. Whoo!

we got beat by a championship side with avergae players. You know what they just shows you, kids like that Matt phillips coming on and playing his heart out whulst we have Babel tweeting about rap music.
Meireles the most dissapointing signing of recent times. Im putting him alongside Aqualani in terms of what ive saw on the field. Not as injury prone but sure as hell [oops]

Aqua neva really got a decent chance, even when he was fit he didnt get a chance, so its hard 2 judge him. He is doing well in italy though.

ive been biting my toungue with my feelings on meireles over the last few months and did post a thread a few weeks back questioning him. Aquau didnt get much of a chance but even so still for me meireles is exactly the same but without the injuries.
