Do you guys think we will actually make a signing this window for talented players like Oxdale-Chamberlain or Suarez, or like previous seasons rumours are just going to fly about and we end up with crap players like Koncheskey and Poulsen, while the other teams exhale in the talent.

And we have Shelvey to bring on in CM too. Not a good signing if its true and happens.

Agreed,would be a shrewd bit of buisness if it comes off,whenever i've watched the Blackpool games he's usually the driving force for their good displays.

Kenny used to play a 4-4-2 with one deep lying forward (Kenny) and one forward (Rush), and he used to play one forward thinking winger a Barnes type player and one winger who would just tuck in and make an extra man in central midfield. Then one forward thinking cb and two attacking full backs.

If you look at that structure we have gerrard for the deep lying forward and torres for the striker and kuyt/ maxi for the rm position who tucks in as they attack and defend. Agger is our attack minded defender and Johnson and Aurelio are our two attacking full backs.

Potentialy Babel if helped by Kenny could become the Barnes type player, then we have preety much have the squad for his previous formation and tactics.

Looking at it in that light we'd probably need streghtening in cm, wing and a extra spare forward.

Also if news from Dunk about Charlie Adam is right he may be getting the cm sharpish. Also Kenny was around when the majority of our top players were signed from lower down in the leagues maybe that's what he sees in Adam

Well tbh if he's not in squad tonight that means hes starting on sunday in the derby or on bench for derby. So looks like he'll be played
