I think Kenny will stick with Kuyt to help with pressing when we don't have the ball, and I doubt he'll experiment with Johnson as RM so soon, even if he's leaning that way. I wouldn't have Babel on the bench had N'Gog not been so absent vs scum, and the fact that we lack pace in the attacking midfield. Perfect game to stamp our authority on, and to let Pacheco have a go for 30 mins partnering Torres.

The only thing that bothers me is that we need everyone because we need the 3 points and Blackpool are nobody's fools this season, but there's the derby on the weekend. Awkward fixture coming so soon after the scum; will love to see how Kenny handles substitution. I think pulling Torres off vs scum was partly to rest him, partly to remind him he needs to up his game. Hope he can score a brace before half time and allow us to coast in, to enjoy the game and get our confidence as a team back.

i think Johnson will play and Kelly will be on the bench as its a short turn around from Sunday.

I would have the same team as you thundyr. I really hope Kelly can keep his place.

Give Meireles a bit of a free role; see what he's got when given some responsibility.

I'd keep Kelly over Johnson purely because they will come at us with everything and I'd rather have someone solid at the back. But then again we should be the ones making them run cos we're the visitors, and keep Kelly fresh for the derby.

I would like to see Babbel instead of Maxi purely because Blackpool play an open game so there will be space to run into. The only problem with that is you don't know which Babbel will show up. The footballer or the Rap Star!

I think its important Kelly keeps his place after his performance against the scum on sunday, he's worked for that place and deserves it, unlike johnson.

Babel looked good for the first few mins he was on the pitch on sunday then as usual he went missing...

Cant decide whether I want Aurelio or Konch to play?

With the bitters at the weekend I would rather save Aurelio for that I think. If we try to play him 3 times in a week he may very well just spontaneously combust!

Ye whiskey i agree, hes very ermm... delicate?, but i can't stand watching Konchesky play in a Liverpool shirt, hes useless and he and Poulsen have to go, there a waste of wages.
