I don't post much but this just works on my nerves. Most of our ex-players have Liverpool Top Class about themselves, but this little fella doesn’t have and he sounds more like Stan Collymore...
He chose to walk out on us to go win the Champions League with Madrid...
Chose to come back to the barcodes instead of begging to come back to us...
Then the biggest crime of all he signs for the Evil Empire!
Now why can’t he just keep quiet and fade away.
Has he forgotten where he came from and which club made him a star?
Michael Owen believes Liverpool's current woes is down to being over reliant on Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.
Liverpool have struggled for much of the season and following their defeat at Blackburn last Wednesday, are currently just four points above the relegation zone.
Kenny Dalglish has been brought in to try to revive their fortunes, but Owen believes that the Reds deserve to be struggling as they have come to rely far too much on their star players.
"Their position reflects where they are at now - they're in the middle of a transitional period and off the pitch they've had a change of ownership," he said.
"They're also very reliant on a couple of star players and if they are out, then they've tended to struggle."
Owen was a firm favourite with the Kop during his eight years at Anfield, scoring 118 goals in 216 appearances, but he was given a hostile reception as he took to the field during the FA Cup third round clash between Manchester United and Liverpool at Old Trafford.
"The reception was pretty mixed, although the longer I played the less boos I got!" he is quoted as saying in The Sun.
"If I meet fans individually, a lot say nice things but parade me in front of the Kop and it's a different story.
"This is the club I play for now and my loyalties lie 100 per cent with Manchester United."
