Many, many years ago I pledged to write a book about my experiences with the KOPTALK® website. I even went as far as taking pre-order deposits of £5. However, disaster struck when my laptop at the time died on me meaning I lost all of the progress I had made. Naturally we refunded the pre-order deposits and the [now infamous] book was placed on hold.
I have started my book again and you’ll be glad to know that I am now taking advantage of cloud services to back it up, services which weren’t widely available when I started writing it.
A lot has happened since my first attempt which will now be in the book. I don’t know when it will be published but I hope to have it finalised within the next year. No really, I do!
I have been heavily criticised for not delivering the book by people who for some reason want to rival KOPTALK®. Anyone who says they have not been refunded a pre-order deposit is either telling porkies or they simply haven’t followed up on contacting us. As far as I am aware, there isn’t a single person who has not been refunded. In most cases, we refunded double the deposit that was paid so that people could have a pint on me for the inconvenience. Once the book is published, we will of course crosscheck our database and ensure that everyone who originally made a pre-order deposit will receive the book at cost i.e. without profit to myself.
I apologise for the delay. I just had some bad luck and as the site has grown and new commitments have followed, I have struggled to find writing time. Friends and loved ones are constantly nagging at me to get it finished so I’m doing all I can to get my arse in to gear.
