Lazar Marković has signed for Partizan Belgrade, the club where he started his career.
The 25-year-old free agent has inked a 3-year contract with the Serbian outfit as he attempts to get his career back on track after his career bombed since his switch to Liverpool in 2014.
Brendan Rodgers paid Benfica £20million for the winger but he only went on to make 34 appearances for the Reds which resulted in him being loaned out to several clubs over the following 5 years.
In 2015, Marković criticised Rodgers in an interview with Portuguese newspaper A Bola by saying that he played him out of position.

“I didn’t have a good relationship with the coach,” said the Serb. “That was a problem. I played in many positions but didn’t play in mine.”
At the time of signing the then 20-year-old, Rodgers commented: “Lazar is flexible to play a number of positions. But I like the way he attacks games and is always positive and looking to make something happen. He will fit in with the way we play at Liverpool.”
It is reported that his Liverpool contract saw him bank around £9million in wages despite contributing virtually nothing.
Hopefully Marković will find his form again as he was a nice enough lad.
