Strengths: Strong in possession, he holds the ball up well and provides an attacking threat in the air, as well as with his pace. His work-rate is colossal and he is also capable of the spectacular.

Could we not get a quality right wing / midfield and use Kuyt in his natural (at least before he joined us) position? I know not many rate Kuyt but he has never really been used as a striker.
Wasn't Kuyt played as a striker when Torres was injured during the season we finished second? Kuyt scored 12 that season, only 2 fewer than Nando.
He was and got some vital goals for us. I know he's not the most talented out there but I think he gets too much bad press especially for a player that is never played in his natural position.

i kind of agree, although does it not say it all when you said kuyt done well as he only scored 2 fewer than nando, even though nando was out that season injured????

How about giving Dani Pacheco a chance or is he "physically" not what Roy wants despite possessing more ability on the ball in his big toe than Cole or Kuyt does in his entire body!!!
