I'd rather get a back up for Torres.

Sounds like both Skytel and Carra will be fit for Saturday and Agger is not far off.

I'd rather use Kelly as cover as under normal circumstances we have 3 top centre backs.

Given we dont appear to have any money I'd rather spend any we have backing up Torres.

i would prefer pacheco, kuyt and babel to be the back ups personally

Buying a cheap cover for the back line will not affect us being able to find cover for Nando.

As far as buying cover now, I think it would make the young guys strive harder to impress. Besides, if we get good cover and an average young guy leaves, we win in the end.

but it never works like that mate - the reason why our kids don't make it is because we get cover and they give up - they know they haven't got a chance of getting in the team and staying there no matter how well they play for the stiffs! they can look fantastic but the club will then go out and buy someone for their position and its demoralises them ........ its no longer just difficult to break into the team it is damn near impossible!!!!

I may sound callous but I don't care as long as we are winning.

but we won't sustain success without a decent youth policy
