Agreed, kopboi. Villas Boas has the will to win, and the skill to do it. Hiring him may still be a gamble given that the EPL is a much tougher league, but he strikes me as someone who could have a long career with LFC; and that is someone we need right now.

Its baffled me why we would want to appoint a 62-3 year old manager when surely the next manager should have been someone who we can build a future with.

Just because they only have 3-4 teams worth mentioning doesn't make Villas Boas any less interesting!

Those 3-4 teams (Benfica, Porto, Sporting Lisboa and maybe Braga) all have the right standards to be able to qualify for the EPL!

If You call the Portuguese league a Mickey Mouse League, You might also do the same with the Spanish. Also only about 4 teams worth mentioning (Barca, Real Madrid, Villareal and Valencia)!
